We love hearing from successful couples at EliteSingles. Finding someone who checks all the relationship boxes is an incredible feeling, and creating a bond is an incredible and life-changing experience. Neil and Juliette’s story is one for the ages.

Neil wrote to tell us how he and Juliette didn’t let adversity get in their way. They met just before the COVID lockdown, so their romance blossomed through many hours of conversation on FaceTime.

Neil and Juliette’s Story

After finding each other on EliteSingles, the couple met at Bea’s in St. Pauls and then at the Shard Bar. During the COVID lockdown in the UK and they were unable to meet further in person. Neil said, “This led to many hours of conversation on FaceTime over the next 3 months, which gave us a real insight into both of our personalities, so Lockdown was a blessing for us as we got to know each other extremely well.”

Neil knew Juliette was the one after a couple of dates but admits, “… for my Wife it was probably a while longer :)” When the timing was right, Neil proposed in Brighten while the couple was staying in a beautiful boutique hotel.

“We left lunch, Neil recalls, “and I seized the opportunity to present the ring to Juliette (that I had designed for her with a local jeweler; she was not expecting it at all, which was great, and we then had a fantastic weekend in Brighton enjoying our engagement and some fine food!”

The couple planned an April wedding, “and despite the terrible rain before and after the wedding date, our wedding day was a beautifully sunny day, our location was a quaint farm in the Kent countryside a short walk from the Church we were wed in, there were also Lambs in the surrounding fields, and it really was idyllic,” remembers Neil. The couple planned an early church service so they could enjoy the day for as long as possible. They’d organized for some special items that reflected their shared love of culture, food, and drink.

At the church service, Juliette arranged for a special event for their guests: Imaani Saleem to sing during the signing of the register and as the newly married couple left the church. “We then had a steel pan band welcome the guests to the farm where there was an Oyster station, our favourite Champagne and paired wines with our Wedding Breakfast, for all to enjoy, said Neil. “The day flew by and was followed by a brunch with all of our friends and family who had travelled to Kent for our day!”

When asked what advice he would give EliteSingles members still looking for love, Neild said: “Stay looking; it works! Juliette had been on the site for a length of time and had not been successful. I, however, was on for a short time and Juliette was my first “match” … I am also a great believer in everything happens for a reason, so if it’s meant to be it’ll happen! Also be honest, we were both honest in our communications and also our profiles, this meant no nasty surprises, we weren’t being fake. Honesty is the best policy…”
