August is National Romance Awareness Month and, to celebrate, premium dating site EliteSingles has studied data from 150,000 people to reveal the 25 cities where you can find the country’s most romantic singles. The #1? Boynton Beach, Florida.
The EliteSingles study looked at random, anonymous data from 150,000 singles, focusing on how strongly people agreed with the statement ‘I bring romance to my relationships.’ After collating these results into geographic averages, the dating site determined the top 25 romantic hotspots in the US:

Romantic Men vs Romantic Women
Boynton Beach is the most romantic city overall. However, splitting the results by gender reveals something interesting – America’s most romantic men and women are in different cities. For men, the #1 city is Boca Raton. FL. For women, it’s Fort Worth, TX.
The study also showed that, overall, American men are more romantic than American women.
Love is in the (Sea) Air
Another notable finding was the connection between romance and the beach. Nearly half of the top cities (11/25) are located within 10 miles of the sea. Over two-thirds (18/25) can be found within an hour’s drive of the coast. Clearly, love is in the sea air!
Sunshine may also be a factor in finding romance. 13 of the top 25 cities can be found in two famously sunny states: Florida and California, with Florida claiming 7 entries and California 6.
Romance for Singles
